Many people, I think, don’t know that Jan Heine and I are buddies. He and I travel the same path for the most part, and then veer off on nearly parallel tributaries. We don’t have to make the same noise and believe all the same things to be pals. He likes lighter tires, I like stouter ones. He rides brevets, I don’t. I believe we are otherwise identical…or at least, close...
